The Sheriff's Jailhouse

The Sheriff's Office and Jail contains a heavy duty steel jail cell with full-size bunk beds, a sheriff's desk, replica rifles, ball and chain, and handcuffs and rink of keys.

Pricing

Our hourly rates start at $150/hour, which includes access to:

  • Western town structures: Saloon (includes restroom), Bank, and Sheriff's Jail.
  • Exterior landscape: Scenic 5-acre property featuring a gold mine, pond, large boulders, hillsides, horse arenas, and more.

We also offer “stay-and-film” accommodations in two 3-bedroom homes with full kitchens. These homes serve as overnight accommodations for 12-16 guests or can be used as dressing rooms and green rooms for productions not requiring overnight stays. Please inqire about overnight stay with your film booking for rates.

Availability

  • Weekdays (Sun evening - Thurs): Hourly rentals available with a 5-hour minimum.
  • Weekends (Fri and Sat): Two-day minimum rental applies, offering full property access, including two residentail homes with optional overnight accommodations.

Permits

Based on prior guest experiences, our property appears to fall outside Temecula's filming jurisdiction, meaning filming permits are not typically required. However, we recommend confirming specific requirements with local authorities to ensure compliance.

Lighting Conditions

Our Western town faces north, providing ideal indirect-sun lighting during morning and afternoon hours. In the evening, west-facing sunlight creates beautiful golden-hour conditions, while the saloon’s north and west-facing windows offer versatile indoor lighting for filming.

Electricity

Our Western structures are equipped with a dedicated sub-panel and electrical outlets throughout the property. Electrical plans are available upon request for productions requiring detailed specifications.

Props & Set Pieces

While we do not provide props or set dressings, our interiors are fully decorated in an old Western style that's perfect for your film or photography project.

Accessibility & Parking

To maximize efficiency, we highly recommend carpooling as our property accommodates parking for approximately 10 vehicles.

Bathrooms

On-Site Access: One restroom is available in the Saloon.

Additional Options: To expand restroom access, consider renting one or both on-site residential homes. Each home includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a full kitchen for versatile use as restrooms, dressing rooms, or staging areas.

For large groups, we recommend renting porta-potties to ensure comfort and convenience.

Shaded Areas

Outdoor shaded seating areas are readily available. Alternatively, renting the homes provides additional shaded rest areas and staging spaces.

Restrictions

  • Drones: Permitted; however, guests are responsible for adhering to local drone operation regulations.
  • Noise Ordinance: Quiet hours begin at 9 PM due to local noise ordinances.
  • Stunts, Fire Effects, and Set Modifications: Allowed on a case-by-case basis with prior approval. Please share details with us in advance.

Insurance Requirements

We require proof of liability and property damage insurance for all productions.

The property is just 20 minutes from Downtown Temecula, which offers restaurants, medical facilities, and accommodations for your cast and crew.
